The owner of Two Buoys contacted us looking to transform his outdoor deck into an area that could be utilised year-round. Whilst this coastal tapas and wine bar boasted stunning views of the bay, it was also subject to wind, rain and harsh sun, limiting use of the outdoor space.

The solution was our Exxen retractable louvre pergola which is manufactured and imported from Europe. The team at Louvre Lux designed and installed two modules of about 12 square metres which were then enclosed with an impressive glass door system by the team at Clear Edge Glass.

The Exxen model was a great choice for this venue. It features automated pivoting louvres that can retract to any position with the touch of a button, allowing complete manipulation of light and shade. The louvres provide natural air flow whilst also protecting customers from relentless sun exposure. The addition of a rain sensor means that louvres close to offer protection during unexpected weather events, leaving staff at the venue free to serve their customers instead of rushing for a remote. The retractable glass doors by Clear Edge Glass were the final touch to create a fully weatherproof decking area.
