We were approached by high end builder, MC Building, to collaborate with them on their Diamond Creek home recreation project. This landmark domestic home was getting a fresh makeover by MC focusing mainly on the exterior and its vast landscape surroundings.

After viewing the different Louvre systems on offer, MC’s client preferred the look of the Eclipse Flat Operable System, which is manufactured in Australia/New Zealand. Carpenters with MC built the frame for the louvre system to recess into. The Eclipse system is fantastic as it has this adaptability to fit into ready-built timber pergola frames, bulkhead voids or steel frames. Having this capability can also cut down costs for the client. The design for this project was to have four bays aligned next to one another with each bay being roughly 3m x 3.5m with a customised guttering system to facilitate drainage.

The end result was a practical and appealing alfresco patio area. Homeowners can sit back and relax as the four bays are controlled from one Techome remote with four channels. In addition, each bay has its own rain sensor to close the louvre systems at first rainfall. Installing an eclipse louvre roof was a smart way to increase the liveable space on this Diamond Creek property. A versatile area for hosting, relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.
